Revlon Gel Envy First Impression

Gel nails without the hassle of a lamp or trip to the salon? Who wouldn't say yes?

This is going to be my first impression of Revlon's new Gel Envy formula. I will be checking back after a week or two for a full review.

Price: $8-10
Formula: Thick
Tacky Dry Speed: 5 mins
Fully Dry Speed: 15-20 mins

Two things stuck out to me when using this product for the first time. Both of which have nothing to do with the praised effect.

First things first; the brush. This polish comes with a wand I have never seen before. I can't remember the last time I purchased a nail polish from Revlon, but I'm pretty sure this is a new thing. The wand has not one, but two brushes built in. I'm not sure if this has any effect other than picking up way too much product, but it was different.

Second; the smell. The top coat has a slightly stronger smell to it than any other I've tried. I wanted to blame it on the claim of gel nails, but that all flew out of the window when my nails dried. Any of my readers enjoy the scent of melting plastic? Didn't think so. That is the exact smell this leaves on my nail beds.

Be sure to check back for my full review and outcome of the manicure. If you've tried this product, feel free to let me know your thoughts!
